If you are wishing to opt out of the NHS Pension Scheme, you will need to ensure that you have completed your Pension Questionnaire on STAFFflow. You have the option to tick the box to hold the pay until we have received the SD502 pension opt out form.
Once you have actioned this, you can click here to submit your SD502 form.
The timesheets are processed and marked as Paid but under Pension Status it will list Employee Requested to Hold Pay. The timesheet will be paid in the next available payroll, once we have received the SD502 form.
If the SD502 form is received within 30 days of the start of an assignment you will be opted out, and will receive a refund of the pension contributions and a refund of your lowered rate.
If the SD502 form is received after 30 days of the start of an assignment, you will be opted out, but Liaison is not able to make any refund and cannot advise candidates of your eligibility for a refund via the RF12 route. Instead, you will need to contact the NHSPA to confirm your eligibility before completing their form. The contact information can be found here:

You are able to request a refund of pension contributions only, by completing an RF12 pension refund form, which needs to be sent to the trust that you are working for. Please contact the trust regarding how they wish to receive the form.
